The Geometry of Joy
Not loud, but bright.
Not wild, but sure.
She didn’t weave chaos—
she wove celebration
into the bones of the floor.

Exhibit No. 012 — The Geometry of Joy
Boujad Region, Middle Atlas, Morocco, Contemporary
Curator’s Note
This rug is a study in vibrant balance. Angular shapes rise and fall in a rhythm that feels musical—like a score made of wool. The colors aren’t clashing; they’re singing. Deep berry tones form the backdrop for bold golds, sky blues, and coral pinks. The mood is high, but grounded. It would light up any room—not as a statement, but as a source.
As with all authentic handwoven Boujad rugs, this piece will age gracefully—its color mellowing, its value rising.
