The ground was gold and humming.
Lines rose like stems,
shapes floated like seeds.
Not a pattern, but a rhythm—
steady, strange, alive.

Exhibit No. 008 — Gold Pulse
Beni M’Rirt, Middle Atlas, Morocco, Contemporary
Curator’s Note
A rare golden piece in the Beni M’Rirt tradition, this rug evokes sound more than sight—pulsing forms, vertical lines, and scattered glyphs suggest a visual echo or vibration. The yellow is warm and magnetic, contrasted with inky black—a palette that feels both ancient and futuristic. This is not decoration. It’s a field of coded energy.
As with all hand-knotted Beni M’Rirt rugs, its value increases with time. This is a living canvas—one that softens, settles, and deepens.
